Dan Alderman attended the University of California at San Diego and Dartmouth College, graduating in 1983. Dan earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in 1986. While in law school, Dan was certified as a volunteer tax preparer and was a member of Community Legal Services. He also worked as an intern for the Public Defender’s Office, obtaining valuable hands-on courtroom experience. Dan was admitted to the California Bar in 1986 and has been a practicing trial lawyer since then. He also obtained his California Real Estate Broker license in 2006. He has been married for 24 years and has two children. He lived in London, England from the ages of 6 to 16.
Over the course of his legal career, Dan has successfully litigated numerous and diverse cases in both bench and jury trials. The range of cases he has tried include trademark and unfair competition claims, contractual disputes, employment claims including sexual harassment and discrimination, fraud claims, premises liability, construction accidents, automobile accidents, products liability, and police use of force.
Dan prides himself on establishing close and lasting relationships with his clients, whom he views as partners in bringing each case to a successful resolution. He has been working with many of the same clients for over 20 years. Dan is a member of POALAC and a voting member of the ASTM Committee for Outdoor Play Equipment.
