Daniel S. Alderman

Daniel Alderman was born in 1961 and lived in London, England, from 1967 to 1976, attending the American School in London. He attended the University of California, San Diego, and Dartmouth College, graduating in 1983. Dan earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in 1986. While in law school, Dan was certified as a volunteer tax preparer and was a member of Community Legal Services. He also worked as an intern for the Public Defender’s Office, obtaining valuable hands-on courtroom experience. Dan was admitted to the California Bar in 1986 and has been a practicing trial lawyer since then. He also obtained his real estate broker’s license in 2006.

Over the course of his legal carrier, Dan has successfully handled and tried numerous and diverse cases. Business disputes that have been tried include cases involving trademark and unfair competition, contractual disputes, employment claims including sexual harassment, and fraud. Cases involving personal injury have included premises liability, construction accidents, automobile accidents, product liability, and police use of force.

Dan is a voting member of the ASTM Committee for Outdoor Play Equipment and is knowledgeable in areas of standards and products liability claims.

Allison R. Hilgers

Allison Hilgers graduated from the University of California at Berkeley in 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature. While attending Berkeley, she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa for four years. She earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of California at Los Angeles in 2003. While in law school, she completed an internship with the Los Angeles City Attorney's Office in the Police Litigation Unit.

Allison is admitted to practice law in California before the State and Federal Bars. She specializes in handling complex law and motion matters and civil appeals.

Allison is an avid swimmer and runner. She worked as a seasonal lifeguard at Huntington State Beach for 14 years, earning awards for Rookie of the Year, Most Inspirational Lifeguard, and Lifeguard of the Year. She is a master swimmer and competes in open water swim races.
